Our story

Don Luis Tungüi Espinoza, avocado producer in Uruapan Michoacán México, took the initiative to find a better production technique that would replace the conventional method of growth with chemical fertilizers and, by doing that, improve the quality of life of both his workers and the final consumer, as well as improving the preservation of the environment and its resources. This is why in 1994, he implemented a new production technique under an organic scheme which made him a pioneer in alternative fruit production in México.

In 1995, his son José Luis Tungüi Olivo joined the work of his father by promoting and transmitting his knowledge and philosophy to other producers in Michoacán: “Love for the planet and respect for society, working in harmony, always in constant innovation, ethics and human spirit”. Thus, in 1999 they founded the company “Organic Fruits and Vegetables of Michoacán México” FRHOMIMEX (Frutas y Hortalizas Orgánicas de Michoacán México S.A. de C.V.) Starting its exports to the United States of America in 2001 under the brand “Don Aguacato”.

Since 2000 the company has dedicated to carry out promotional and exhibition visits to various countries in Europe, North America and Asia. Its sales currently cover a large part of the international market.

FRHOMIMEX is a world-wide consolidated company that is also considered a pioneer on its kind as well as a diversified company, because it offers a complete scheme that goes from the production to the organic certification and commercialization of the product. This undoubtedly means a strong project that allows direct contribution to the strengthening of organic agriculture in México and the world.
